This is such a great recipe! I had some extra egg nog and this was the perfect way to use it. If you like egg nog, you’ll love these cookies!

These cookies are excellent! It’s a favorite. I do refrigerate the cookie dough a few hours before baking when I can.
I frost with frosting/glaze I make using powdered sugar and a little water. It ices the cookies without gluing them together if you need to stack them. Be sure to let the cookies cool completely before frosting them.

Delicious! However, in my oven, cooking them 13 min was a bit too long. I’d say know your oven! The last batch, I took out after 10 min and they weren’t as dry. These cookies don’t brown up when done as much as other types of cookies do, due to ingredients. The icing makes them, but they are very good without, too

I had leftover eggnog from Thanksgiving I needed to use up and a google search for eggnog cookies brought me to this recipe. Thank goodness it did! I made over a dozen different kinds of cookies and these turned out to be my absolute favorite! The eggnog flavor is delicious and the soft cake-y texture is perfect! I gifted cookie trays and these cookies got so much praise. Everyone loved them and most people have never had an eggnog cookie! I’ll be putting these at the top of my favorite Christmas cookie list!

The cookies were pretty great too. I had to do some guessing for high altitude and added three extra tablespoons of flour and reduce the baking powder by a third. I think I would have added more flour now that I’ve done it. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

This wasn’t for me. The dough was very wet and the cookies were very flat and brown on the edges. I added the extra 1/4 cup flour, which helped a little, but meh. The frosting was super sweet and it didn’t feel balanced.

Mine too! The recipe needs baking soda added so they can be cookies

These turned out cake like as others have mentioned but still tasted very good. They need the addition of baking soda so that they are more like a cookie and less like a cake or muffin.

Got so many compliments on these! I modified the frosting slightly – added cinnamon and nutmeg, and a 1/4 tablespoon of vanilla. I feel like it really had that good eggnog flavor! I also wanted my frosting to be slightly darker so the cinnamon/nutmeg helped with that.
