Such a good cookie. I loved that they didn’t thin out like every other snickerdoodle recipe I’ve made. Thank you

No this recipe has always been a butter version, perhaps it was a recipe you found elsewhere. :)

These cookies are very good. Baking time is 9 1/2 minutes for me. First time making them & had no idea how no eggnog could make it taste like eggnog and somehow the nutmeg and rum extract do the trick. Thank you again for another recipe!! Can’t wait for my granddaughter to come in from school to have one, too.

This is my second Christmas making these . My best friend’s husband loves anything with eggnog&I was having a hard time finding a cookie that tasted like eggnog but didn’t have any in the recipe . That is until I came across this recipe . He absolutely loved these cookies and so did everyone else ! I do bake these for ten minutes &they are perfect.
It is now tradition that I make these for my Christmas goody boxes .
Thanks for the great recipe &happy holidays !

Yes but you’ll want to chill the dough an hour or so so cookies don’t spread. Butter tends to spread more than shortening.

I have made these cookies every Christmas since 2014 and every time, I think, why am I not making these year-round? I can’t get enough of them. They turn out perfectly.
