This is a go-to stuffing recipe for us, once you try it you'll see why. It's just as good as what you can make in the oven and it takes less tending to, so you can manage the rest of your Thanksgiving menu.

Boxed stuffing is popular, but once I tried this made-from-scratch crockpot stuffing version I was hooked. You'll love all the fresh, real flavor it has when it's homemade—plus it's easier to make than you'd think.

Easy Pork Loin Roast

A simple method and recipe for pork loin that's perfect for weekends and holidays!

Pork loin is inexpensive and easy to prepare. It has a light flavor and it adapts well to so many seasonings.

One of my favorites is with fresh herbs and garlic like we use here.

It roasts up beautifully. And personally I think finishing it with a little gravy made with the pan drippings is the only way to go. It just adds that much more flavor.

Just be sure to monitor the temperature of the roast and let rest before carving so the moisture is retained in the meat.

Garlic Herb Roasted Turkey Breast Recipe

This year many of us are planning on a smaller gathering for the holidays so the perfect thing to prepare instead of a whole turkey is a turkey breast.

It makes just enough for a family or for a pair with leftovers.

Every time I make this people love it! It's just good old fashioned stuffing the way it's meant to be, made with bakery bread and fresh ingredients!

And trust me cutting and drying your own bread cubes is worth the extra step. Keep in mind you can do this in advance to save time on holidays.

Can I Make it Ahead?

Probably the biggest question here will be "can this be made in advance"? Yes this can definitely be done. To do so:

  • Prepare the stuffing as directed the day before.
  • Pour into the baking dish, cover and refrigerate.
  • The following day remove from the fridge while the oven preheats.
  • Bake as directed while adding about 10 extra minutes to the baking time since it will be going in cold.

This soup is one of my staple dinner recipes! It's something everyone can agree on and it's always a highlight of a long day. It's just hard to beat a bowl of homestyle chicken noodle soup!

I don't know if there's a more comforting food in the world than a warm bowl of this simple soup. Good for the soul, right?

Sure we all love the whole chicken, totally from scratch version (with homemade noodles even) which simmers and simmers, but it takes so much longer. You'll love that this recipe is quick and easy to make, thanks to the shortcut of using a rotisserie chicken.

It makes the perfect weeknight dinner because you can have it ready in about 30 minutes and it's filled with healthy, hearty ingredients.

The other great thing about this recipe is that it's always a good thing to serve to guests because I can't think of many people who don't like it. Chicken noodle soup is always a win!

Roasted Butternut Squash

I love roasted butternut squash. Sometimes I'll buy the mini ones and roast butternut squash halves and sometimes I'll buy a big one then dice it up into cubes and roast as I've done here.

I like this method better because you can get more color and flavor on each individual piece, the only tedious part is cutting up that squash.

But after you've done it a few times it goes a lot faster. And a result this good is worth that extra bit of effort, trust me!
