Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzels

These are a family favorite treat and they are so fun and easy to make! Plus they only require a handful of ingredients.

They are perfect for celebrations and holiday parties (just switch out the color of sprinkles to match the event). And they also make a great on the go-snack or pack along lunch treat.

And their flavor is 100% irresistible! That nutty peanut butter, salty pretzel, rich and sweet chocolate combo was meant to be together.

Plus the blend of textures is completely satisfying too. Crisp pretzel, creamy peanut butter filling, soft smooth chocolate and a lightly crunchy sprinkle finish.

Red Velvet Shortbread Christmas Cookies

These are a decadent cookie people of all ages will enjoy!

Who doesn't love shortbread? And especially so when they're made up of those nostalgic Christmas colors and finished with white chocolate.

The dough is similar to a traditional shortbread cookie base with a few minor tweaks to give it that classic red velvet taste and rich color (reminiscent to red velvet cake).

It's a crisp and tender cookie that keeps well for days, which makes them great for gifting. And it's always nice to add a new cookie to the holiday cookie exchange.

Of course we all look forward to and love our classics, but it's always nice to try new variations too.

These red velvet shortbread are the perfect holiday treat and they're fun to make! Just plan some time since the dough does require some chilling since it's a slice and bake method.

Red velvet cookies would have to be one of the ultimate Christmas or Valentines Day cookies with their pretty and festive red color.

These are an easy to make cookie that uses basic ingredients and they're sure to satisfy those red velvet cravings!

These cookies are a combination of two of the best desserts - red velvet cake and chocolate chip cookies.

Really you just can't go wrong with these cookies! You just get simple classic flavors and a fun new take on cookies.

It's a simple baking project that's perfect for the weekend, just don't wear your best attire with all that red. Also plan some time since cookie dough needs to chill (otherwise cookies will spread too much).

Oreo Balls Oreo Truffles https://www.cookingclassy.com/oreo-truffles-two-ways/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/oreo-truffles-two-ways/#comments Wed, 11 Dec 2019 15:00:00 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/2012/12/oreo-truffles-two-ways/ Oreo Balls AKA Oreo Truffles are the perfect treat for any occasion! They only require THREE ingredients, they couldn't be easier to make and they taste unbelievably delicious. They're always the first thing to go at parties and I'm yet to meet someone who doesn't love them!

Oreo balls stacked on a turquoise plate set over a blue cloth. Oreo balls are coated in both milk chocolate and white chocolate.

Oreo Balls Made Two Ways

These really are one of our favorite treats! People go crazy over them and they're always amazed to learn how simple they are.

Everywhere I take them they are always loved by people of all ages. My brother who doesn't care for desserts is always asking me to makes these.

You just can't go wrong with this recipe. It only makes sense because they're made up of all delicious things - Oreos, cream cheese and chocolate!

If you've never made truffles before or dipped candies in chocolate this is a great place to start! The recipe is so straight forward. Once you try these you'll be hooked!

These truffles are deliciously rich, perfectly chocolatey and the addition of cream cheese just makes them sing. Who new something so incredibly easy could be so incredibly tasty?

My personal favorite are the Oreo balls dipped in white chocolate, it's keeps that classic cookies and cream flavor going. But of course chocolate is delicious too, you get a double chocolate flavor.

For the Christmas season you should try the peppermint version (see photo at the bottom of this post), all you have to do is add a little peppermint extract to the truffle mixture then garnish with crushed candy canes before the chocolate sets.

Shortbread Cookies with Lemon and White Chocolate!

Talk about perfect flavor pairing for cookies! Tangy zippy lemon with sweet vanilla white chocolate to balance it out.

Everyone who tasted these loved them and of course I was totally smitten! It was one of those treats that was hard to photograph without sneaking bite after bite.

Most holiday cookie trays consist of classics like peanut butter blossoms, chocolate crinkle cookies, gingerbread cookies, peppermint cookies and sugar cookies but I'm thinking lemon cookies definitely deserve a place there. Who doesn't love lemon?

Plus lemons are in season right now so what better time to make these delicious lemony cookies?

They're soft, chewy, and perfectly ginger-y. Plus, everyone will love that white chocolate finish.

Gingerbread Star Cookies

White Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies Cut in Fun Star Shapes

I never used to care for homemade gingerbread cookies—that was until I made these soft gingerbread cookies. They totally changed my opinion on gingerbread men.

Before, I used to think of them as more of a decoration. Unfortunately, sometimes pretty cookies just don't taste as good! This gingerbread recipe is both gorgeous AND delicious. They're so fun to make with some Christmas music on in the background, then enjoy with some hot chocolate.

Gingerbread cookie dough cut into star shapes

Since I loved them so much this year, I made them with the same dough but cut them into star shapes and added white chocolate, because gingerbread and white chocolate are the perfect flavor combination.

Seriously... a match made in Heaven.

These cookies have plenty of spice and molasses flavor, making them just perfectly festive. Especially with the finishing touch of shimmery white sprinkles!

I chose to do half of the cookies drizzled with the chocolate and half dipped in chocolate because I liked the look of the combo but do whichever you like—just be sure to have enough white chocolate if you go the dipping route.

White Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Chocolate Cookies https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-chocolate-dipped-peppermint-chocolate-cookies/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-chocolate-dipped-peppermint-chocolate-cookies/#comments Wed, 29 Nov 2017 07:01:21 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=35410 These White Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Chocolate Cookies are dreamy to say the least! I made a white version a few years ago and wanted to share a chocolate version also, and finally here there are!

White Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Chocolate Cookies

Chocolate Cookies with Festive Peppermint Flavor

After 3 batches of these I finally found the perfect ratio of ingredients with a rich chocolate flavor, just enough peppermint, and a deliciously chewy texture.

I started out with a recipe that I found on Food Network then changed it until they were perfect for my taste. I reduced the butter by 1/4 cup because several people were saying in the comments that their cookies just spread into one - which is likely due to a bit too much butter.

White Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Chocolate Cookies

With the first batch I used Dutch processed cocoa like the recipe calls for but my cookies came out super thin so I switched to regular cocoa powder.

I also found that 3/4 cup cocoa wasn't enough chocolate flavor so I upped it by 1/4 cup then cut back on the flour.

Now they've got well pronounced chocolate flavor which pairs well with the white chocolate coating. Here I also replaced some of the granulated sugar with brown for a chewier cookie.

And last but not least I wanted a white chocolate dipped peppermint cookie so I replaced 1 tsp of the vanilla with peppermint extract, and finished them off with a generous dose of white chocolate (think cookies and cream), then sprinkled them with some pretty peppermint bits.

These are Christmas + chocolate perfection! Another must-try cookie to add to the holiday baking list!

White Chocolate and Chocolate Dipped Mandarin Oranges https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-chocolate-chocolate-dipped-mandarin-oranges/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-chocolate-chocolate-dipped-mandarin-oranges/#comments Tue, 20 Dec 2016 06:17:40 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=27378 White Chocolate and Chocolate Dipped Mandarin Oranges are the perfect last minute treat for a party or gift! They are so easy to make, they only require TWO ingredients (plus sprinkles or salt if desired), and people of all ages love them!

Chocolate dipped mandarin oranges on parchment paper, some are covered with Christmas sprinkles or sea salt.

Chocolate Dipped Oranges

I've already made these three times in the last three weeks, my family absolutely loves these and I love that they are quick treat!

Believe it or not my mom who is crazy about dark chocolate actually liked the white chocolate ones better so be sure that you try both versions at one point or another.

Dipping mandarin orange in melted white chocolate.

One thing I love about these is that the chocolate ones taste like those chocolate oranges you buy during the holidays - but so much better. And the white ones taste like a an orange creamsicle - but again, even better.

I mean once you start popping these things it's hard to stop. But they are like 66% fruit so that makes them about 66% healthy right :)?

Really though these are a better choice than the towers of cookies everywhere. But don't turn down the cookies this time of year, it happens once a year so enjoy the towers of cookies everywhere!

Try these soon, while the best mandarins are in season!

Chocolate Dipped Oranges

Tips for This Recipe

One important thing to note is that these should be served right away, as I listed in the recipe. The reason being is because the oranges may start to dry out - or maybe that's just me because I'm in a dry climate.

But I think that's pretty common for citrus in general in any climate.

You can lightly brush the un-dipped portion with a little water but it's a tedious task so I recommend that you just dip in chocolate about 10 minutes before you plan on serving them.

White Chocolate and Chocolate Dipped Mandarin Oranges

These sweet and tangy chocolate covered oranges slices are the perfect last minute treat for a party or gift! They are so easy to make, they only require TWO ingredients (plus sprinkles or salt if desired), and people of all ages love them!

  • 4 oz dark chocolate or milk chocolate (, chopped)
  • 4 oz white chocolate (, chopped)
  • 6 - 7 large mandarin oranges (, peeled and segmented (about 1 1/2 lbs)*)
  • Coarse or flaked sea salt ((optional))
  • Multi-color sprinkles ((optional))
  1. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Place white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring well between intervals until melted and smooth.
  2. Dip half of the mandarin orange slices in white chocolate, dipping halfway, then lift and and let excess run off. Transfer to prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with sprinkles if desired before white chocolate starts to set.
  3. Place dark chocolate in a separate microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring well between intervals until melted and smooth.
  4. Dip remaining half of the mandarin oranges in chocolate, dipping halfway, then lift and let excess run off. Transfer to lined baking sheet, sprinkle lightly with sea salt if desired.
  5. Transfer baking sheets to refrigerator and chill just until chocolate has set, about 5 - 10 minutes. Serve immediately for best results.
  1. *I recommend using larger mandarins if you can find them, sometimes the Cuties are bigger than other brands. If using the itty bitty ones you'll probably need twice as many.
  2. Serve immediately for best results as the oranges tend to dry out once peeled.

Peppermint Bark Cheesecake | Cooking Classy

The Perfect Christmas Cheesecake!

Nothing welcomes a celebration the way an over-the-top cheesecake does! Am I right or am I right? Cheesecake is one of my favorite kinds of cake.

It's always a dessert that you want to savor each and every little spec of it and not a crumb goes wasted. I mean I wouldn't complain if a generous slice of it found its way to my dinner table every night - er, until my waistline started disagreeing with that I suppose.

But that is why these are perfect for the holidays, yes they are indulgent but in moderation, they are worth every calorie!

If you like cheesecake or peppermint bark you simply have to try this heavenly cheesecake! It's the perfect blend of the two and of course it's perfectly festive for the holidays. Even though I just barely made this I'm thinking I have no choice but to make it again for Christmas.
