In reply to Kathie. No nothing between them. As long as you serve shortly after assembling there shouldn't be an issue. If you do plain to assemble that portion ahead you'd want to put cut to fit parchment paper between.

ooooh, this is beautiful and i’m going to make one this year. quick question though: how do you keep the spices from the meat below the kiwis from leeching into the kiwis? do you have a piece of saran wrap between them or something like that?
