Debra Hemmingway,
You might need to add a little more oats to it sometimes I need to.
It makes it set better.🙂

I also have made them for 70 years and still love them. Believe me, I’ve had times they were to soft, didn’t set but they were never wasted, just grab a spoon and go after them! My whole family has always been a choco-holic! Put chocolate in it and it’s a hit! My recipe is stained from use through the years, but haven’t changed it in 70 years. Matter of fact think I’ll stir some up right now, sounds sooooo gooood!

These are my favorite cookies. I love that at almost any time i want to make them i have the ingredients. The key to this recipe is getting it to a rolling boil then set a timer for 1 minute and 30 seconds exactly. Then snatch the pot off. Any longer then they will be too crumbly. I hope this helps!

My mother used to make these – she called them Ting-a-lings! I’m glad to find this recipe again, we loved them!

These are perfect! I have been searching for 2 years for a recipe to replace the one I lost, I’ve had a few fails in that time! So thankful to finally have found one! Perfect everytime, without fail! Thank you!
